5 Liquid Eyeliners On A Budget

Eyeliner is like what an accessory is to your outfit. It is the epitome of what I like to call the finishing touch to an outfit and your make-up routine. Whiter you choose to do a wing liner, or you go for the classic swoop, or straight line, it just makes your eyeshadow and eyelashes just pop. So, below I review 5 liquid eyeliners that are less than £5.00.

1. Primark
P.S LOVE LIQUID EYELINER

Price: £1.00

Primark make-up had a lot of people skeptical in the beginning, especially with the pricing, but I must say some of their products like their eyeliner was very surprisingly good. The color is black and is in between matt and shiny, so you get a bit of both worlds. The tip is also thin, which can be beneficial for some, but if you like thicker tips, then this isn't the right one for you. Also, something to be mindful of is that people have reported that the tip starts to fall apart after a while, which means the had to trim off 'split ends' quite a few times.

2. PoundStore

Price: £1.00

Yep, you read it right, I have added pound store to this list. And I must say, this store has saved my make-up budget a few times, as my budget has to cover a few make-up items that have become a staple in my routine which means sacrificing a few more coins in those areas. So, this only leaves me with a few pounds to spare, and the worst thing is when this happens and your eyeliner is finished! And this happened to me once, so I paid Pounstore a visit, and I picked up an eyeliner, and now I go back there to top up every once in a while. This eyeliner, I would say is perfect for beginners, as the liquid is more solid than other liquid eyeliners. But something to take into consideration is that it drys really quickly, and it looks dry, so you have to go over certain areas more than once to give it back it's shine. Plus, there's not a lot of product in the container, and you will need a top-up during the day.

3. Elf
Expert Liquid Liner

Price: £3.00

This liner does apply smoothly, and it does what the names say's as it is liquidy, so you get a lot of product out when you dip, so you don't have to worry about it running out halfway when applying. However, one thing that you should note is that some people have reported that the eyeliner leaves a blue tint when they have tried to remove it. Overall, the eyeliner will last you through the day as it stays on quite well.

4. Etude House
Oh ~m

Price: £3.92

This eyeliner includes a smudge-proof formula, that I must say helps it last for a while, especially with the waterproof added effect, which makes eyeliner very durable. Plus, the tip is thin, which helps with application. In addition, the wand itself is easy to hold and has a nice grip. However, some things to consider are that; some people have said that the product within the container gets clumpy after a while, and the product can also look cakey, instead of smooth and seamless.

5. Kiko
Precision Eyeliner

Price: £4.89

This line is perfect for you if want to do cool, and more intricate designs with eye-liner. Which is due to the fact that the brush has a thin tip and thick base, which makes it easy to apply.  And I must say this liner really lives up to its name!

Top Tips
  • Be mindful that without a lot of practice liquid eyeliner is a messy job, as it is runny, so it takes practice to understand how to control the liquid. Plus be aware that it takes longer to dry, so leave your eyes closed for longer before opening them helps not to smudge
  • Be careful how you place the brush back in the pot, as one wrong move and you'll have bit's of the brush tip sticking out from different angles
  • With cheaper eyeliners, the brushes are sometimes not as soft and tend not to last as long as more expensive liners
  • Use a cuticle cutter to trim unwanted fibers.
  • If you want to do design, I would suggest going for more expensive liners
